Election workers in Chicago and Cook County are still counting ballots.
That’s because some weren’t cast until early Wednesday morning.
At Welles Park on Chicago’s North Side, many voters waited more than eight hours to cast their votes.
The final vote there was finally cast just after three a.m.
Voters say there were not enough election judges to handle the large turnout.
Many of those voters showed up to use the new “day of registration” option.
