VIICREE PLAIN BLACK

Chris Marshall, better known as his stage name 7Cree is a young, black, ambitious upcoming, unsigned rapper from Chicago, IL. Raised on the Eastside in one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in Chicago, the Jeffery Manor, a young 7Cree was introduced to violence, death, and poverty at an early age. At 12, 7Cree lost his young cousin Donesha Harris to gun violence in Chicago. Her death was one of the hardest trials for him and his family; she was young 22 years old and was the mother of 7Cree’s 1 year old nephew.

However, Cree learned to take the negative energy he saw and felt and transform it into poetry at the age of 13 also, he started performing at local talent shows and just entertaining friends and family became an emotional release for the young artist.

After recording his first 3 songs in a house studio on the east-side of Chicago, Cree discovered his talent with taking poetry, his problems, and experiences and turning them into original rap songs. At 16, 7Cree at the time known as, Millie Styles became a locally known young lyricist in the underground Chicago rap scene. Early 2007 a curious 7Cree wanting to learn everything about studios and recording music took production classes and music theory classes to increase his knowledge of music. 7Cree continued to study the industry, other artist, and how to write songs. He quickly put together a group of artist of close friends and started to create mix tapes and record videos. The music was distributed to local high schools and community colleges. Soon 7Cree was performing shows with a crowd that knew or heard of him. Financial problems had soon struck 7Cree and his family. His mother struggled to raise him and his 3 brothers by herself. When things got real bad for him and his family 7Cree made a wrong turn to the streets for help. He quickly found out that the streets was no place for a young talented and gifted man, and found other ways using his talent to provide and assist his family. He started to make beats and compose a lot of production work. 7Cree stood outside of shows and events selling his music and trying to get more fans. With his new-found hustle he discovered that no matter what, music would always be one thing he would never give up on.

Becoming a bigger artist was no longer just a dream to Cree but a mission, his destiny. 7Cree has performed for high school pep rallies, club events, local parties in Chicago, talents shows, and local underground rap shows. He was rewarded by SAE College in a production contest where producers battled each other by making beats in 2 minutes. 7Cree only continued studying the industry and writing songs. He now is at a point of no return. He is now working towards completing his goals and dreams. Currently he is working on projects with different producers from Chicago and the UK including D Brooks, Aye-KO, and Relta of the UK, ChaseNDough, and more. He released a mix tape of 17 songs early 2014 titled “Nothin Major” which got 7Cree a lot of exposure and attention. All the new songs he’s been writing and recording are straight from his poetry book and experiences. He says that the songs he plans to release in the future will be the type of music that will keep him alive forever. 7Cree is one artist that will give birth to a new element of music out of Chicago. Be on the look out for more music and videos from this powerful developing artist.

The Bad Girl, @LucciVee-Platinum Featured Artist of the Month

Hey Y’all!

It’s Your Gyrl, Ms. Carmen aka Platinum Voice PR bringing another Platinum Featured Artist to you!

luccivee

It’s my girl, Lucci Vee and if you don’t know who she is; allow me to introduce her. I met Lucci Vee at the Victor Hotel in Chicago. It was a tribute to all female rappers in Chicago and she performed my song, KOD ft Chella Chicago, I was so elated that I couldn’t even think straight! I just met an official “Bad Girl” who kicked ass before telling you “I Don’t Understand”. Our relationship has grown in this short time and I must say I adore her. Well, Read about Lucci Vee and see why I love her to death.

lucci

Lucci Vee is a rapper, TV personality, and a lethal combination of skilled lyricist and femme fatale. Armed with poisonous rhymes that could take down any peer, this rhythmic enchantress is only getting started. Bred in the DMV and living in Chicago, Lucci has made major moves since her relocation to Chicago at 18.
Her strong  lyrical content, impeccable delivery, and dope fashion sense have garnered national attention from audiences  everywhere. Although known for her lyrics, this tough spitter wasn’t always a rapper. Originally a singer, Lucci
Vee got deeper into rapping in 2009 and fell in love with performing. She became motivated by her desire to inspire others with music and with fire and ambition similar to the great female emcees she looked up so MC Lyte, Roxanne Shante, Lil Kim, Missy, and Eve, she started to create music that told her story and related to people of all different backgrounds.
Already waist-deep into her music career with a thriving fan-base, Lucci Vee decided to try something new and jumped head first into television. As the fiery chick on Bad Girls Club Season 9 as well as Bad Girls Club Allstars, Lucci gained an even greater audience. By showing the world her authenticity, she proved that being comfortable with yourself and most  importantly, being genuine and real, yields the most supporters.
The #TeamLucci movement is greatly expanding quickly as Lucci’s entertainment career continues to thrive. Having recently opened for Island Def Jam artist, Iggy Azalea, been featured on a hit song with Yung LA, and becoming a media favorite on sites such as Women of Hip Hop and World Star Hip Hop, the infamy of Lucci’s mixtape, “Confessions of a Glamazon,” hosted by DJ Gemini Jones, has officially spread and she is working on her EP, “I Love Lucci.” Her innate musical talent coupled with her ever-growing television notoriety has proven that the rising star’s reign won’t be challenged soon.

Hey Y’all!

It’s Your Gyrl, Ms. Carmen aka Platinum Voice PR bringing another Platinum Artist to you!  I had the pleasure of meeting Alja at the Core DJs Retreat in Atlanta. I’m going to say her performance was mouth-dropping good! She kept the audience captivated with her lyrics and sexy gyrations! I can talk about her, but I’d like for you to get to know, Ms. Alja Ka’Million. Enjoy!

Photo: Alja Kamillion aka KAMILLION wrote Several songs for you FAVORITE artist (Rihanna, Mindless Behavior, Trey Songz, Missy Elliot, & MORE) now its her turn .. performing LIVE in Milwaukee on March 10th, Austin March 15th, & The Core DJ's Conference May 3rd)

Known as the  “Boss Bitch”, Alja Ka’Million is blazing the trail for the next generation of Hip Hop female rappers. Her raw image and racy lyrics put her in a class all by herself. She has worked with some of the industry’s biggest names such as: Missy Elliott, Polow da Don, Dr. Dre, Dirty Money, Rick Ross and Trey Songz.

A Jacksonville native, Alja Ka’Million admits growing up in the community of “Pearlworld” wasn’t always a walk in the park. She said some of her peers often started fights with her simply because she was different and attractive. Even as a child, Alja Ka’Million recognized the special gift that she possessed and she refused to allow her haters to keep her from developing her God-given talents.

Her big break came when she was invited to collaborate, as a songwriter, with Grammy award-winning artist and philanthropist Usher Raymond for Esmee Denters, a new artist signed to the Justin Timberlake’s label. This opportunity paved the way for Alja Ka’Million to develop relationships with producers and other professionals in the business.

Her edgy lyrics and hard beats were recognized by Interscope chairman and producer, Jimmy Iovine who invited Alja Ka’Million to write for the Pussy Cat Dolls. While working on this project in Los Angeles, she was offered a record contract.

Alja Ka’Million thought she had arrived. She was well on her way to realizing her dream or at least that what she thought. Industry politics caused her to step away from the label, business,  and re-evaluate her future.

After a brief hiatus, Alja Ka’Million decided to boss up and give the music business another chance. She was called upon to put her songwriting talents to the test. She found herself writing for R & B superstar, Rihanna on her latest album entitles, “Talk That Talk”.

Alja Ka’Million was back and not a minute to late; she was recently picked up by  Indie label Rippahouse Records. Her new project “Boss Bitch Presence” is a mixtape/album showcasing her  versatile talents as a rapper and singer. Her first single featuring Future entitled, “Mr. Moneybags” is an anthem that is ringing throughout clubs in the Southeast.

Alja Ka’Million’s sound is one that she refers to as Trap-N-B. It’s a collaboration of hard south 808 heavy bass gritty production and R&B. The content is urban, raw, edgy and bossy. The B stands for the R&B of Alja’s unique sound. Her sexy ballads showcases her singing skills as well. Her lyrics birthed from real life experiences and struggles growing into a self-made independent woman. Her desire is to write music that people can relate to while entertaining the masses.

Alja Ka’Million finds her real strength and inspiration from those who love her most, her family. Her mother, grandmother along with her four brothers and two sisters are her biggest supporters. Alja Ka’Million prefers to keep her relationship status private and currently lives in the Atlanta area.
